Please review these guidelines to help keep LinkNow safe, respectful, and welcoming.

Our Community Values

LinkNow is a proximity-based connection platform for adults (18+) designed to help users make meaningful connections in shared spaces through various types of relationships and interactions.

  • Safety & Consent: Prioritize personal safety and respect others' boundaries in every interaction.
  • Respectful Communication: Speak thoughtfully, listen actively, and keep conversations constructive.
  • Authenticity: Be honest about who you are, what you want, and how you show up.
  • Inclusion: Welcome people of all backgrounds and foster a sense of belonging.

1. Safety First

Meeting Safety (Proximity-Based Connections)

  • Always Meet in Public: When meeting connections from the app, choose public, well-populated areas
  • Inform Someone: Tell a friend or family member about your plans and location
  • Trust Your Instincts: If something feels uncomfortable, prioritize your safety and leave
  • Stay in Control: Meet on your own terms and maintain control over your transportation

Platform Safety

  • Age Requirement: All users must be 18 years or older to use LinkNow
  • Report Issues: Report inappropriate behavior, harassment, or safety concerns immediately
  • Use Safety Features: Block users, control your visibility, and manage your connections
  • Respect Privacy: Never share personal information like home address or financial details

2. Encouraged Behavior

  • Authentic and respectful communication across all connection types
  • Professional networking, dating, friendship building, and social connections
  • Honest profile representation with recent, accurate photos and information
  • Clear communication about your connection intentions and preferences
  • Respecting others' boundaries, time, and preferences
  • Using our platform's safety features appropriately
  • Being mindful of shared spaces and local community norms

3. Prohibited Content & Behavior

Zero Tolerance Policy

The following violations result in immediate account suspension or termination:

  • Illegal Activity: Any illegal behavior including solicitation, trafficking, or controlled substances
  • Harassment & Threats: Threatening, stalking, or harassing other users
  • Hate Speech: Discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability
  • Minors: Users under 18 or content involving minors
  • Explicit Content: Unsolicited sexual content, nudity, or explicit messages
  • Scams & Fraud: Financial scams, catfishing, or impersonation
  • Spam: Commercial promotion, bot accounts, or repetitive unwanted messages

Additional Prohibited Behavior

  • Creating multiple fake accounts or impersonating others
  • Sharing others' private information without consent (doxxing)
  • Using the platform primarily for commercial advertising
  • Manipulating location data to circumvent proximity features
  • Circumventing blocks, bans, or other safety measures
  • Encouraging, glorifying, or promoting violence

4. Profile Guidelines

  • Photos: Use recent photos showing your face clearly. No group photos as primary image, and no photos of minors, celebrities, or copyrighted material
  • Information: Be honest about your age, location, and intentions. Misrepresentation is grounds for account termination
  • Appropriate Content: Keep profiles friendly and appropriate for all audiences. No explicit imagery or offensive language
  • Authenticity: You must be the person in your photos and represent yourself accurately

5. Enforcement & Consequences

We take violations of these guidelines seriously. Depending on severity and frequency, consequences may include:

  • Warning: First-time minor violations receive a warning
  • Temporary Suspension: Repeated or moderate violations result in temporary account suspension (1-30 days)
  • Permanent Ban: Severe or repeated violations lead to permanent account termination
  • Legal Action: Illegal activity will be reported to appropriate authorities

6. Reporting & Support

Help us maintain a safe, welcoming community:

  • Report Issues: Use the in-app reporting feature on any profile, message, or event that violates these guidelines
  • Block Users: Block anyone who makes you uncomfortable immediately. You don't need a reason
  • Safety Concerns: For urgent safety concerns, contact us at safety@linknowapp.com

7. Changes to Guidelines

  • We may update these Community Guidelines periodically. We'll notify users of significant changes via in-app notifications or email. Continued use of LinkNow after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated guidelines.
