How is my data protected?
We use industry-standard encryption to protect your data. Your personal information is never shared with third parties without your consent. You have full control over what information appears on your profile.
Can I block or report someone?
If you encounter inappropriate behavior, you can block users from their profile or report them using the Report button. Our team reviews all reports within 24 hours. Blocked users are managed in Settings > Blocked Users.
How do I control my visibility?
In Settings > Location, you can toggle location tracking on/off. When off, your profile won't appear in Discover for others. You can also use Auto-Hide to automatically disable visibility after a set time.
What information is visible to others?
Other users see your name, age, bio, interests, and profile photos. Your exact location is never shared - only approximate distance (e.g., '0.5 miles away'). Phone number and email remain private.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings > Personal Details > Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data from our servers. This action cannot be undone.
Are my messages private?
Yes. Messages are encrypted and only visible to you and the recipient. We never access or share your private conversations.
How do I report inappropriate behavior?
On any profile or message, tap the three dots menu and select "Report". Choose the reason (harassment, spam, fake profile, etc.) and provide details. Our team reviews all reports within 24 hours and takes appropriate action.
What happens when I block someone?
Blocked users can't see your profile, send you messages, or view your activity. They won't be notified that you blocked them. You can manage blocked users in Settings > Blocked Users.
Can I hide my profile temporarily?
Yes! Toggle "Enable Location Tracking" off in Settings > Location. Your profile immediately becomes invisible to all users. Turn it back on whenever you want to be discoverable again.
How is my location data used?
Your location is only used to show you nearby users and help others discover you within their range. We never sell location data. You can turn off location tracking anytime, and we don't store historical location data.
What are community guidelines?
Our community guidelines prohibit harassment, hate speech, explicit content, impersonation, and spam. View full guidelines in Settings > Community Guidelines. Violations can result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent ban.
How do I verify my identity?
Upload your student ID or use a .edu email in Settings > School Verification. Verified users get a badge, increasing trust. Your verification photo is reviewed by our team and then permanently deleted.
How do AI Recommendations work?
Our AI-powered smart recommendations analyze your interests, preferences, and activity to suggest the most compatible connections. This data is processed securely and used solely to improve your experience. You can opt-out of personalized recommendations in Settings.
